"Inside the Poison" by Fluxsense is an exuberant excursion into the inner catacombs of psychill music, sticking to its 4/4 beat architecture like glue as it wrestles with the listener for supremacy, all the while allowing intoxicating and ethereal soundscapes to attempt to lull them off course. The EP lays bare Fluxsense's adept knack at weaving hypnotic rhythms with a rich, atmospheric depth that makes for an immersive experience and feels at once insular and wide-reaching.

From the opening of the track, it is clear "Inside the Poison" is designed to transport the listener through a kind of landscape where time seems to contract and stretch again, held down by the steady beat and sometimes intricate lush textures. Everything in its making is of top quality, carefully positioned in order that every aspect of all the sensories in the audience's being is absolutely riveting without boundary.

Adept at blending organic sounds with the finesse of electronics into their music in such a way that it appears teeming with life, it is Fluxsense. Throughout the EP, there is a moving theme of darkness against light, imprisonment against freedom. It explores musically with an equal measure of depth emotionally.

It's this kind of dynamic range that assures "Inside the Poison" really never turns monotonous, more an engaging exploration of the spectrum of human experiences mirrored through sound.

It is in standout tracks, though, where the deep driving bassline is counterbalanced by airy, celestial synths in a contrast that somehow both grounds and uplifts. Add to that subtle vocal samples, even traditional instruments twisted through electronics, and it’s music with layers both complex and rich.
